Woman throws computer at American Airlines employee at Miami Airport

A woman was arrested Tuesday in theMiami International Airport after throwing a computer monitor at a female employeeAmerican Airlines at a company boarding gate, and causing serious damage to the lounge.

“The passenger was verifying her papers with the airline agent, when her two youngest children left her without anyone noticing to use the bathrooms.After the woman realized that her children were not with her, she became angry and began screaming, demanding that the employee find the children.”declared a police officer.

The aggressor was identified as Camila McMillie, she is 25 years old and a resident of the state of Alabama. He was traveling from his city to New York, with a stopover in Miami, accompanied by his 6 and 8 year old children.

After the attack, which lasted a few minutes, a Customs and Border Protection agent detained McMillie in the North Terminal of the airport and she was later handed over to the Police.

The damage extended to the entire room, where the young womanHe broke monitors, counters, and tore off the ticket reader to board the flight.

The total damage is estimated at around 10 thousand dollars, according to the Police.

The airline published a statement in which it repudiated the incident and stressed that it will not tolerate acts of violence against its team members.

This Wednesday, McMillie appeared in a Miami-Dade court whereShe was charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
