They ask for help to repatriate bodies of Cuban brothers who died in a fire in Uruguay

Relatives denounce that the Cuban embassy in the South American country does not want to help in the return of the remains of both young people.

“I am a direct relative of the boys who died in a fire in Uruguay. Please, out of mercy, I need you to talk to me because the Cuban embassy in Uruguay does not want to help me return the bodies. They told us that the cost was very high and, although they were aware of what happened, they could not be responsible for the costs,” a close relative of the two brothers, who preferred not to give his name, told this medium.

He also said that they had spoken with a funeral home that takes care of all the procedures “but they are charging us $12,000 for each one.”

He said that Bryan Cruz, 22, is survived by an 11-month-old girl who did not know her.

Likewise, in networks José Ramón Fonseca Melville, uncle of both deceased, reiterated the request for help to repatriate them to the island that other relatives have made since the tragedy became known.

"Today my writing is not one of joy, I have lost two children, my nephews, and their parents are waiting to receive their bodies, but for that we need help, 093 484271, 093301070," he noted this Wednesday inFacebook Fonseca Melville.

Cecilia Pérez, aunt of both young people, On social networks, starting this Tuesday, he asked friends and acquaintances for help to be able to transport the bodies of his nephews to Cuba.

“With much, much pain, I come to you, to ask youhelp to be able to transport the bodies of my only two nephews, from Uruguay, where they lived, to Cuba, where their mother, [and the] wife and a girl survive one of them,” Pérez wrote inFacebook, where he provided a Zelle account number to raise funds to make the repatriation of the bodies possible.

“This is the hardest thing in our lives,” the aunt expressed with pain. “It all happened too quickly.”

Also a cousin of the deceased, namedEulalia Massague Pérez, a resident of Camagüey, went to social networks to express his pain for the loss of his relatives.

“Today we have lost two beautiful loved ones, my beautiful cousins, I will never forget them with those beautiful smiles, that love that they knew how to give in exchange for nothing. That is never forgotten. There is an irreparable pain in my heart that I cannot bear. I miss them so much, I wish time could go back to hug them and tell them how much I love them,” was the shockingmessage which he posted on Facebook.

The brothers Eduardo and Bryan Cruz Pérez died this Monday in a fire that broke out in the home where they lived in the city of Pando, in the metropolitan area of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Their bodies were found by firefighters shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Monday, after arriving at the scene of the accident, a block masonry house with a light roof, located at kilometer 37 of Route 75 and Camino Erosa, according to the radio programThe Pando Megaphone.

A member of the Pando Fire Department told the Uruguayan mediaUnderlined that when they arrived at the house the flames had already been extinguished and they found the two young Cubans dead.

In an update of the fact,The Pando Megaphone reported this Wednesday that, according to the Firefighters, the fiery focus that cut short the lives of the Cubans “was due toa wood stove that caused a small fire", which "It did not cause total material damage but it did cause the death of the young people, who were surely sleeping while the incident occurred.”.
