In the ingredients you will need1 egg, 12 yolks, 2 tablespoons of flour, 3/4 cup of cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1/4 cup of sugar.

In the syrup you should use 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup of rum, 1 tablespoon of vanilla and the peel of 1 lemon.

Dailis Ferrer specifies three steps to make this recipe:

1. Prepare the syrup: "Put all the ingredients in a small pot and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, wait for it to cool before adding it to the panetela."

2. Make the panetela dough: "First beat the eggs at high speed for 5 minutes until they double in volume, add the sugar in the form of a rain shower and beat for 1 more minute. Sift the cornstarch, flour and salt to add it to the egg mixture and also incorporate vanilla. Integrate with enveloping movements until not a single lump remains.

3. Bake: "Preheat the oven to 180ºC and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the panetela from the heat, cut it into square portions without removing it from the mold and pour all the syrup on top.
