A young Cuban woman announced in a Facebook group the change of two houses in the province ofHolguin for two tickets to Nicaragua, a proposal that constitutes a clear indication of the migratory desire of the author of the publication.

"Two houses in Holguín are exchanged for two tickets to Nicaragua", was limited topost in the C & V Revolico-Holguín group is the Internet user Laritza Quevedo Valdés, who according to her profile on social networks would be a nurse by profession.

In the comments section of the publication, some Internet users wished him good luck in his plans, while others were alarmed by the serious situation that the island is going through, which forces its citizens to leave everything in search of a better future.

The proposal is not even remotely the only one of its kind in the last two years, since in November 2021 the government of the Central American country announced the visa exemption for Cuban citizens.

In March of last yearThe poem "This house is for sale" went viral on social networks, an emotional poetic testimony by Zenaida Rodríguez Trujillo from Matanzas, which heartbreakingly emphasized the way in which Cubans were giving up their most beloved belongings - full of memories - in order to leave a country marked by the economic crisis.

Since then, the flow of travelers through the most diverse routes has not slowed down, quite the opposite. After a drop in the amount of income by land - largely due to the establishment of the humanitarian parole program in January - last October marked a rebound.

More than 18 thousand Cubans entered the United States by its land and sea borders in October of this year. This is the highest figure since December of last year.

According tofigures revealed by the Department of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a total of 18,018 Cubans arrived by sea and land in the country, indicating that the migration crisis on the Caribbean island continues unstoppable.

28 entered through the northern border (Canada) and 12,495 through the southern border (Mexico). The rest of the migrants, more than 6 thousand, arrived by sea.

At the same time, fiscal year 2023 closed on September 30 with 200,287 applications from Cubans, just 24 thousand less than the previous period, when they crossedthe borders 224,607 migrants of the island.

The statistics are a clear indicator that theCuban immigration crisis continues without solution. Cubans continue to say goodbye to their lives in order to venture to fight for a better future.
