Havanatur, an agency of the Cuban regime, offers trips to visit the beaches of Miami and other destinations in the United States despite the regime's permanent discourse against the White House government and the exile community.

"Travel to Miami this January and enjoy charter flights. Discover the beautiful beaches and warm climate of the city of the sun," this government agency, in charge of marketing charter flights to the United States in Cuba, published on its networks.

It also similarly promoted the destinations of Tampa and Houston: "Travel to the United States this new year with our charter flights. Choose us and enjoy an unforgettable experience!" says its advertising on Facebook.

He adds that he has "cheap flights" toMiami every day from the city of Holguín, with "special offers for our valued clients. Don't miss it, visit us now!" he says.

The Cuban government, through its Havanatur agency, tries at all costs to mobilize tourists, as a way out of the serious economic crisis that hits the country.

Last May, Havanatur was promoting the Cuba destination for international tourists, through a video with music by the Buena Fe duo in which it asked extraterrestrials to visit the Island.

"Dare to live it" was the name of the song by the duo, staunch defenders of the Castro regime, while the video showed a spaceship advancing towards Earth and its only occupant who, encouraged by the idyllic images of Cuba that he saw on a monitor ( the Hotel Nacional, beaches, people enjoying themselves on jet skis), decided to head to the Caribbean island.

However, the agency wants to make money at all costs on behalf of the regime, and at the same time it does not escape ideological pressures that definitely affect the effectiveness of its advertising.

In December, the official press attacked Havanatur for an end-of-year advertisement in which theprotagonist was Santa Claus.

The entity shared on its networks images made with artificial intelligence, which show Santa Claus sitting on the beach smoking a cigarette, with tropical fruits and in front of an old American car, and another in which he gives gifts to those on the Capitol steps. .

But the promotion of the company bothered several regime officials and pro-government journalists, who described it as shameful and ridiculous: "it is not our identity," they defended.

The weeklyHavana Tribune shared the text written by José Carlos Rodríguez Ruiz, director of MINREX, who called for using the values that identify the Cuban nation to promote the country.

"It is with this and not with colonizing icons foreign to Cuban culture, that we must attract the gaze and visits of citizens from other places, so that they come to this land of peace and culture, of dignified history, to our beautiful country, attracted by the strength and healthy pride with which we Cubans feel vital and creative," he said on his Facebook.
