The Yutong bus that covered the Manzanillo-Havana route was hit, this Friday night, by a Kamaz brand truck, whose driver fled, according to reports on social networks, where they also reported that there were no injuries.

“At night we had this unfortunate accident at the exit where a Kamaz brand car hit bus 2884 which was covering the Manzanillo – Havana route,” wrote user Víctor Meriño Beltrán, in theFacebook group “BUS & TRUCK ACCIDENTS for more experience and fewer victims!”.

He also thanked the bus drivers because there were no injuries. “Thanks to your agility and attention behind the wheel, on behalf of everyone, thanks to the “Little One” as they affectionately call him and to the other one whose name I did not know, we will be eternally grateful.”

According to the comments read in the publication, the driver of the Kamaz fled without caring about the consequences of this incident, which specifically occurred at the exit of Manzanillo, near the “Las Novillas” prison.

The author of the publication himself specified that it was the truck that invaded the bus path.

Another person, who said he had been present at the accident, reported that they were “between the time of the expert report, then the alcohol test and the Minint delegation until almost 3 in the morning.”

He added that the bus driver, known as Diepa, was not responsible for the maneuver he carried out, however in his comment he stopped to repudiate the action of the truck driver. “Where I want to get to is the irresponsibility of the driver of the orange Kamaz who hit him and then fled without knowing the damage caused,” he added.

Apparently, the travelers continued, later, to their destination in the country's capital. “Thanks to that driver, many of us today are telling what happened (thank you, thank you, Diepa), thanks to you we are all arriving safely in Havana,” noted the author of the initial publication.
