Truck crashes into the National Highway bridge in Mayabeque

The vehicle was embedded between the bridge separators, near the municipality of Nueva Paz, in the province of Mayabeque.

And cargo truck crashed into a bridge on the National Highway, in the section that crosses the province of Mayabeque, this Sunday.

The vehicle was completely embedded between the separators of the bridge, in the municipality of Nueva Paz, according to the published information in the Facebook group “Bus & Truck Accidents for more experience and fewer victims!”

It can be seen in the photos that the truck's cabin was “buried” between the railings, while the trailer was suspended upwards. The truck suffered significant damage, judging by the images.

According to the comment of a witness, The driver of the vehicle was taken to the San José de las Lajas hospital and is fine.. The extent of his injuries was not specified.

The accidents of this type on the National Highway are not uncommon. Last September, in a similar incident, Nine people injured when a passenger truck crashed into one of the bridges of the highway in the municipality of Rodas, in Cienfuegos.

In that same province, but near the municipality of Lajas, a truck from Almacenes Universales S.A. crashed into the bridge of kilometer 188 of the National Highway. As a result of the collision, the driver suffered head injuries.

In more recent events, it was reported a truck fell off a bridge in the town of Jicotea, in the province of Villa Clara, while another fell from the bridge over the Yara River, on the Masó-Las Mercedes highway, in Granma.

In that last incident, Seven people were injured, three of them seriously..
