Díaz-Canel wants to turn Granma into the newspaper “that is most read in Cuba”

“We have to aspire to make it the most read newspaper in Cuba, as a multimedia.That young people get closer to Granma"said the president, while speaking of originality and innovation, without referring to the credibility of the content offered by the newspaper, one of the issues that Cubans most criticize.

The editor of the newspaper,Yailín Orta Rivera, described the visit as a “stimulus and suggestions to multiply creation in digital scenarios.”

According to the newspaper's own report, the president assured that he is faithful in his reading of the newspaper, an issue that is not new when the contents they offer come from the approvals made by the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the PCC.

Also, Díaz-Canel inaugurated a nursery school for the children of workers inGranma.

Criticism of the Cuban official press, especially of the newspaper's reportsGranma, are recurrent among the island's population, tired of triumphalist readings, without reflecting the daily life of Cubans and taking advantage of all events to glorify a government administration that has the country in one of the worst economic and social crises in its history.
