The mortal remains of the three soldiers who died in theaccident aerial incident that occurred in the early hours of this Thursday in theAntonio Maceo International Airport, Santiago de Cuba, are being fired this Friday, as announced by the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) in itssocial networks.

"The members of the FAR say goodbye to the combatants Major Dairon González Espinosa, First Lieutenant Carlos Enrique Frómeta Rodríguez and Second Lieutenant Yunier Céspedes Escalona. The pain is very deep, condolences go to their families," can be read in the brief note published .

Official information indicated that the crashed helicopter"was carrying out a mission in the interest of the Revolutionary Armed Forces" and that a MINFAR commission is investigating the causes of the accident.

According to information published on social networks, The damaged aircraft was the MI-17 helicopter number H-115, which fell from about ten meters high for unknown reasons around 5:00 a.m.

Circulating on social networks avideo that allegedly shows the moments after to the accident, according to journalist Yosmany Mayeta, who noted that the accident occurred in the "protocol area" of the Santiago airport.

It is estimated that the military aircraft was supporting the visit of Raúl Castro, who was in Santiago de Cuba this Wednesday with Miguel Díaz-Canel and other leaders participating in the burial ceremony of the remains of combatants of the Third Eastern Front.
