Andshooting against a group of people this Saturday nightcaused the death of an eight-year-old girl and injured 10 other people in Chicago, in a fact that the police associate with gang-related violence.
Eleven people who were outside a family gathering in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, in the south of that American city, wereshooting victims, including four children, indicated a statement from the Chicago Police Department.
The fatal victim, only eight years old, was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the Comer Children's Hospital, reportedTelemundo Chicago.
According to the police, they werea one-year-old child and an eight-year-old child in critical condition, who were shot multiple times in the abdomen and were rushed to hospitals. A nine-year-old boy was also injured in the finger and was hospitalized in good condition.
After responding to the scene of the shooting, officers applied tourniquets and chest seals to the victims, who also included adults between the ages of 19 and 40, said Don Jerome, deputy chief of the Police Department.Chicago.
A 36-year-old man who was shot in the arms and back was reported in critical condition.. The rest of the adults were in good condition.the police reported.

According to witnesses to the shooting, a black sedan approached and someone shot at those present before fleeing. Likewise, the deputy police chief indicated that witnesses described two possible shooters on foot.
“This was not a random act of violence. “It was probably gang related,” Jerome said. “The actions of the criminals are horrible and unacceptable in our city.”
