In the midst of continuous and annoying blackouts that have been affecting the Cuban family for months, and especially worse at the beginning of May, the Electric Company continues with its usual savings campaign.

Through the social network Facebook, the aforementioned entity called on Havana residents telling them to assume savings as a life practice to avoid annoying interruptions.

However, the responses of Cubans to this call were immediate, showing the fatigue and discomfort caused by typical Cuban propaganda campaigns.

“I would like to know when we are going to save, if the time that there is no power is longer than the time that there is,” was the response of one Internet user.

Meanwhile, another person asked that “hopefully, with electricity savings, the blackouts will end.”

Precisely, a user's complaint referred to the electricity outage that he was experiencing at that moment.

“No power again. How long is this? They already removed it in the morning. Now again?” were his words.

Meanwhile, responding to his comment, another user added: “Come to Mayabeque to see what 17 hours of blackout are like and only a few with power.”

Since this month of May, The Electrical Union of Cuba (UNE) indicated that blackouts will increase during June due to the increase in maintenance work at several Thermoelectric Power Plants (CTE).

"As has been reported in these months from January to June, maintenance activities at Thermal, Energy and Distributed Generation Plants are increased with the purpose of reaching the months of greatest consumption and electricity demand, which are July and August, months in addition, the rest of the population," explains a note posted by the entity on Facebook.

However, Cubans have come out to protest, as a prelude to events of discontent in the face of this new wave of blackouts.

inhabitants of Las Tunas and Camaguey They came out with their pots and pans to complain about this situation. The same did a Cienfuegos mother through a live broadcast on Facebook.

Not even this Sunday, when Mother's Day was celebrated, Cubans escaped the long and exhausting blackouts who have tortured them in recent months.
