Cuban in the Canary Islands: "Even though I get paid in euros, I'm always broke by the end of the month."

On TikTok, a young Cuban woman living in the Canary Islands has caught attention with a video where she talked about her life experience using the popular formula: "I am Cuban in... and...".

His story provided a glimpse into his daily life, highlighting which customs he maintains from his homeland and which ones he has embraced from his new place of residence.

"I am a Cuban living in the Canary Islands, and of course I'm not going to say 'chacho' or 'tío' to you; I'm going to say 'mijo,'" she comments at the beginning of the video, showing how her typical expressions continue to be part of her communication.

The TikToker also highlights how she is the target of stereotypes: "At all parties, they always ask me to dance because 'if I'm Cuban, I know how to dance."

"I am Cuban living in the Canary Islands, and even though I get paid in euros at the end of the month, I am always broke," she added to her personal list.

The charm of local festivities also resonates with her: "I love a good open-air dance with carnival music," she said, showing her enjoyment of Canarian celebrations.
