Don Omar is getting ready to return home after undergoing cancer surgery: "My recovery is quite advanced."

The reggaeton artist announced at the beginning of the week that he was diagnosed with cancer.

In recent days, Don Omar's followers have been very attentive to his health after he announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Fortunately, the operation that the Puerto Rican artist underwent was a complete success, and his recovery is also progressing quite well, to the point that this Wednesday he will return to his home to continue his recovery there.

It was through his profile on X (formerly Twitter) that the reggaeton singer shared the happy news.

"My surgery was a complete success and my recovery is quite advanced. Today they are sending me back home. I love you all, thank you for the prayers," wrote on social media.

Although the singer of "Ella y yo" has not provided more details about his health, Cuban host Raúl de Molina revealed that Don Omar had one of his kidneys removed. The singer spent four hours in the operating room undergoing surgery, and fortunately, the doctors were able to remove all of the cancer.

"You could still feel the effects of the anesthesia a bit when he spoke, but the joy I received was very great because he told me 'they already removed the cancer,'" the host of El Gordo y La Flaca shared during the television show.
