Part of a two-story house collapses in Havana.

There are no reported injuries from the collapse at the moment.

The top part of a two-story house collapsed this Friday, without causing any injuries.

According to a video on social media, the building cracked on one side, and the crack kept getting larger until it eventually caused the collapse of the upper structure of the property.

The incident occurred in the municipality of Playa, and apparently, the residents of the area had time to evacuate before facing worse consequences.

On Thursday night, a balcony collapsed onto a cafeteria located in a very central area of El Vedado, leaving three people injured.

The collapse, according to information from several witnesses, occurred as a result of the accumulation of marble slabs that the construction brigade working on the first level placed without taking into account the weight calculation it could support, leading to a structural failure, as detailed in a report from the Municipal Assembly of the People's Power of Plaza de la Revolución.

Days earlier, there had also been a partial collapse in a building located on Monte Street between Águila and Ángeles, in Old Havana, leaving one person injured, who had to be transferred to a hospital.
