In the Facebook group "Polish in Havana," a user shared a touching photograph with a message of solidarity:

"This photo was taken on Saturday in Havana during the flooding. If anyone knows the owner of the Polish car, tell them to get in touch with our workshop LOS FIDE; we are willing to help them selflessly," said Fidel E. Vargas. His phone number is 52905070."

The well-known "polaquitos" are mini cars produced in Poland by the FSM factory between 1973 and 2000, a licensed copy of the Italian Fiat 126. In Cuba, these vehicles are appreciated for their durability and because they consume little fuel, a very valuable feature on the island.

The gesture of the workshop LOS FIDE has been applauded by many, once again showcasing the solidarity that characterizes the Cuban people in times of crisis.

This type of selfless actions reflect the sense of community prevailing on the island, where mutual aid and support among neighbors remain strong in the face of adversity.
