An "electric horse" catches fire on a central street in Santiago de Cuba.

The fire left a neighborhood without electricity, a situation that its residents experience every week.

A "little electric horse," as it is popularly called in Cuba, exploded and caught fire on a street in Santiago de Cuba.

The incident occurred on Aguilera Street, between San Miguel and Hernán Cortés, right in the city center.

The independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada reported on Facebook about the incident, which left a neighborhood without electricity, a situation that its residents suffer from every week.

The other day they fixed it because the little horse exploded and they came at 2:00 in the morning and now look, the problem is happening again," said a neighbor affected by the issue.

The residents of the area are fed up with the situation and with always having to wait "for them to feel like fixing" the breakdown, without definitively solving it.

"I hope that when they fix it, they do it right and it's not like last time. It can't be that every week we are in the same situation!" stressed the woman.
