Four glories of Cuban baseball, all legends of the Industriales team, shared a gathering in Miami hosted by the stellar René Arocha.
"We are the same no matter the passing of the years, we will always be friends for a lifetime: Euclides Rojas, Osvaldo Fernández (The Lefty), Pablo Abreu, and René Arocha," Arocha said on his Facebook wall.
"Pablito, please stay seated," he joked.
The four former pitchers of the national team who many years ago decided to start a new life outside of Cuba continue to share together as if time had not passed.
According to sports journalist Yasel Porto, as he mentioned on his Facebook page, Arocha "always seeks ways to bring together baseball figures to remember wonderful moments and add new experiences that help strengthen bonds".
Dozens of fans expressed their admiration for the four Cuban baseball stars and thanked them for the good moments they provided to the fans, especially those from the capital.
"The cream," said the comedian Ulises Toirac.
Our generation is so grateful to you for the joy and fervor that is felt for being an Industrialista for life," stated a Cuban from Spain.
"A quartet to respect!" exclaimed another person from Havana.
"Any team would win with those four," emphasized a resident in the United States.
In August, René Arocha posted another photograph with these historical figures from the Lions, in which two other former teammates who also live outside of Cuba also appeared: Agustín Marquetti and Ángel Leocadio Díaz.
"All of blue blood," Arocha wrote next to the image.
