Andy Vázquez remembers Carlos Massola: "It is not possible to forget someone who stood up to the communist monster."

The renowned Cuban comedian Andy Vázquez recalled on his social media the unforgivable silence of some individuals and institutions following the sudden death last week of actor Carlos Massola.

"It is not possible to ignore such talent and dedication, so much passion in every character he played. It is not possible to forget the one who discovered freedom and remained steadfast in it, the one who faced the true communist monster from within," Andy wrote on his Facebook profile.

Likewise, Andy wondered, "How to ignore your path to immortality? How could a free Cuban forget one of its free artists? No, Carlos Massola, you have not died yet, brother, and I doubt, like millions of Cubans, that you can die," he asserted in a post that has already garnered more than 14 thousand reactions and over 800 comments.

The death of Massola, which occurred last Wednesday, June 3, left family members, artists, friends, and followers of the actor in a state of emotional shock, who in recent years raised his voice on numerous occasions against the Cuban government.

However, the silence of the cultural authorities on the island, subjected to the yoke of the regime that dictates and that, on numerous occasions, was denounced by Massola himself, has drawn attention.

No official Cuban cultural institution has echoed the death of the actor on its social media profiles, a fact that has sparked numerous criticisms.

Due to this lack of action, the son of the late Cuban actor Enrique Molina sent a strong message to the artists who have not spoken out following the unexpected death of his colleague Carlos Massola.

Without mincing words, Pavel Molina Ruiz called all the artists who have remained silent in the face of Massola's death cowards, a man who never feared expressing what he felt.

Massola's mother, Gladys Escandell Pérez, thanked the shows of respect and solidarity she has received from friends of her son, among whom she included, without naming, Cuban directors and actors, but also criticized those who have had ill-intentioned opinions.

Despite the secrecy of the Cuban authorities, their cyberclarias breeding ground has indeed had the authorization and time to try to denigrate the actor. Their attempts have not turned out well, and it was Andy Vázquez himself who has come out to confront them.

In a live stream on his Facebook profile, Andy recalled that upon learning about Massola's death earlier this week, he shared a message of condolences.

Without the slightest respect, in that publication, the dictatorship's followers criticized him for forgetting about Massola and not offering him their help.

In response to those slanders, Andy released the audio of two conversations they had months ago, which demonstrate that he was sending money to his friend.
