The accident occurred on L Street between 23 and 25, in El Vedado, according to social media reports.

A user in the Facebook group "Maravilloso Malecón" said that "apparently the truck lost its brakes and the driver, to avoid greater harm (intersection 23 and L), crashed into the wall."

Several users celebrated the driver's action to prevent a disaster.

"It was really fortunate that there were no human injuries because on that stretch, from L to 23, many try to take a taxi that then returns to La Víbora, or those that continue to Línea heading towards Miramar," described a user.

The truth is that the shared images show a strong impact on the exterior wall of the facade of the mentioned hotel.

"More damage for a hotel that is structurally deficient," opined another user.
