A private Chevrolet car crashed into a streetlight last weekend on the road connecting Bayamo to Holguín, in an incident that, according to social media users, left people injured.
However, it has not been possible to determine the number of people injured in the incident, which, it seems, originated after a collision with another vehicle, forcing the driver to drive onto the road separator.
"A truck was coming alongside, and it is said that it swerved onto it, and the car had to go up onto the divider," commented a user in the Facebook group "Automobile Accidents in Cuba."
Another person who claimed to have seen the accident mentioned that "it seems he was heading towards Bayamo and crashed into the divider and hit the streetlight."
A user added that “for whatever reason, now it’s time to spend the money that took so much effort to earn, if not for a corner.”
In the shared images, it can be seen how the car suffered a strong impact on its front, which left the hood and the bumper with considerable damage; while the tire on the left side was out of its place.
Last Thursday, a Chevrolet and a Lada collided near a pedestrian crossing in the Averhoff Castle area, in the municipality of Arroyo Naranjo, in Havana, with no human injuries reported.
The collisions were significant in both vehicles, although it was noticeable that the Chevrolet received the most damage, as it had a front tire that was practically out of position.
Also, last Friday, a triple collision occurred near Terminal 1 of Havana Airport, in the Boyeros municipality, in which an Immigration patrol and two private cars sustained significant damage.
