"They are from here in Céspedes, Camagüey, a very sad day and very dear people, may God keep them forever," wrote another user.

Although the causes that led to this event are not defined, many commentators blamed the poor condition of the road, driver fatigue, and other issues that have resulted in the loss of human lives on Cuban roads.

"Every day increases due to the bad road, the poor condition of the cars, the speed, the summer drinks, the stress we live in, loose animals on the road, the sleep that overcomes them, the low-quality fuel, and they don’t stop, and also because there’s always a crazy person in a hurry who wants to overtake, ruining the lives of others," summarized an Internet user.

This Saturday, an accident in Pinar del Río resulted in one young man dead and several injured after a bus heading to the beach of Cayo Jutías overturned on the northern coast of that province.

The accident that occurred in the town of Viñales involved a "Diana" bus.

Last Thursday, the collision between a passenger truck and a car left two dead and an undetermined number of injured in the province of Ciego de Ávila, according to unofficial preliminary data.

Meanwhile, a total of 19 people were injured on Thursday morning after a private truck intended for passenger transportation on the Jiguaní-Bayamo route in Granma province lost control and ended up overturning, according to local media reports.

These facts reveal the alarming increase in accidents on the island, many of which have fatal outcomes.
