Cuban in the United States: "I am always saving things just in case someone is going to Cuba."

In the reactions, many users felt identified and shared their own versions of these Cuban "traumas."

The TikTok user, life_byanita, shared a funny video, joining the popular trend on social media "I am Cuban and," where she presented a series of typical customs and "traumas" of Cubans that she continues to practice in the United States.

In the video, life_byanita humorously commented on various common practices in Cuban households, driven by scarcity and the need to make the most of everything until it can no longer be used, such as: squeezing kitchen sponges to their limit, reusing and saving cans and jars before throwing them away.

"I am Cuban and the sponge is always good for one last wash. I am Cuban and in my house, any bottle or can is first opened and squeezed well before being thrown away," she says in the video where she also confessed her habit of buying in bulk "just in case it runs out" and storing things "in case someone goes to Cuba."

In the reactions, many users felt identified and shared their own versions of these Cuban "traumas": "I am Cuban and I use market bags to store food, and of course I add water to the little dish soap so it lasts longer"; "Hahaha, I am Cuban and of course I have pots inside the oven"; "I am Cuban and I have a stockpile of cubalce bags from all my market purchases"; "Hahaha I am Cuban and I recycle oil just like María Julia Beatriz"; "Hahaha I am Cuban and I use ice cream cups, salad bowls, and so on for something first and then throw them away," they commented.

Life_byanita also joined the conversation, responding to her followers with the same sense of humor: "Of course I do all that too," and "Here we are all the same Haha. Everything finds a use haha."

And you, how many of these Cuban customs do you still maintain in your daily life?

What do you think?
