Cuban mother dies who was hospitalized after a traffic accident in Holguín.

In the accident, the victim's two children were also injured.

Yanet Rojas Ramírez, mother of two children and who was hospitalized after a traffic accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the municipality of Mayarí, in the province of Holguín, passed away this Sunday at the Lucía Iñiguez Clinical Surgical Hospital.

The deceased had been diagnosed with abdominal trauma and underwent surgery, reported journalist Emilio Rodríguez Pupo on social media.

In the accident, her two children were also injured: Lisbeth Ávila Rojas, 6 years old, with a fractured femur but with a favorable recovery. The girl is hospitalized in the Pediatric Hospital of Holguín.

Meanwhile, the other son, Lázaro Ávila Rojas, 8 years old, who was also admitted to the Pediatric Hospital of Holguín, was recovering normally.

Yanet Rojas resided in the municipality of Báguanos in Holguín.

The source mentioned that “the children receive specialized care and have a social worker, waiting for a family member to arrive.”

The tragic accident occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. between the neighborhoods of Arroyo Blanco and El Solibano, when a Chevrolet car they were traveling in collided with a tree.

Currently, Yendri Saldaña Díaz, 40 years old; and Alexander Santiago González Vera, 52 years old, have died, reported the journalist.

The rest of the injured are: Maritza Paredes Martínez, 57 years old, with splenic rupture in the second stage, fluid in the cavity, ventilated; now in surgery and with a reserved prognosis. She is being treated at the Clinical Surgical Hospital of Holguín.

Dailín Machado, cranial trauma, occipital fracture, are evaluating a new surgical intervention. Also at the General Surgical Hospital of Holguín.

Yurixan Ortiz Benítez, 34 years old, a resident of Levisa, with a rib fracture, not life-threatening, and receiving treatment at the Mayarí hospital.
