A man identified as Mauricio Bernal, a resident of Mayarí, Holguín, has been missing for 15 days, according to reports from his neighbors on social media.
Gretel Rodríguez, a Facebook user, made an urgent call to the public to help in the search for Bernal, who was last seen at the end of July under circumstances that are not specified in the post.
"Please, anyone who sees him anywhere in Cuba, terminals, hospitals, please call the number 24501536 for Luis Sarmiento," the internet user posted on social media.
News of missing persons is increasingly common in Cuba, in a context of growing violence that has been acknowledged by the regime itself.
This Tuesday, it was reported that a young woman from Ciego de Ávila named Claudia, 27 years old and with a mental disability, had been missing for six days.
Social media has become a crucial tool for the dissemination of information and community mobilization in the search for the missing.
