Intense rains, thunderstorms, and even funnel clouds affected several areas of southern Florida this Thursday, especially in Miami-Dade County.
Videos on social media showed heavy rains, winds, and local flooding in Miami-Dade.
In the Downtown area of the city, several streets remained flooded for several hours, hindering local traffic.
For its part, a funnel cloud affected Charlotte County at 4:40 p.m., just east of Shell Creek.
Meteorologists had forecasted rain and storms, mainly between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM due to the influence of a frontal system that will bring similar conditions on Friday, with rain and storms mainly in the afternoon.
On Saturday, conditions will begin to improve from north to south, although showers are expected in Miami-Dade County with a 30% chance.
