With a high-quality performance, the Cuban Osleys Iglesias maintained his undefeated record in professional boxing on Saturday, achieving a knockout victory in the second round over the Ghanaian Sena Agbeko in Quebec City, Canada.

Iglesias, 26 years old, did not waste time in the super middleweight bout and showcased a powerful offensive against Agbeko in the very first round, hitting him with left and right hooks to the head, to the point of knocking him down, as can be seen in various places on social media.

In the second round, the fighter from Matanzas came out with everything again, he threw punches non-stop, and finally, the referee decided he had seen enough and stopped the fight at 1:16 minutes.

In this way, the Caribbean improved his record to 12 wins without a loss, with 11 victories by knockout, while his opponent stood at 28-4, 22 KOs.

The fight, agreed at 170 pounds, took place as part of another evening organized by the promoter Eye of The Tiger and represented the third bout for the fighter from Matanzas in North America, awaiting his team's decision regarding his debut in the United States.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that Iglesias and his management decided to promote his professional career between Germany and Poland, but gradually they have expanded his boxing map, while he is already mentioned among the top contenders in the light heavyweight division.

Agbeko, meanwhile, is no stranger to Cuban boxing, as he was knocked out last December by the star Cuban David Morell Jr. at The Armory, Minnesota, in the latest Showtime Boxing event.

It is worth remembering that in June, Iglesias achieved one of the most impressive knockouts in 2024, leaving his opponent of the moment, the Russian Evgeny Shvedenko (16-2-1, 7), convulsing on the canvas.

At the Casino Montreal in Canada, the left-hander left his opponent in very bad condition, who received quick medical assistance after this first defeat in his career. In fact, he had only fallen once in his previous 18 fights, which demonstrates the power of the Caribbean fighter.

As a member of the national team of Cuba, Iglesias stood out for the strength of his punches and speed in the ring. Additionally, he had close matches against two-time Olympic champion Arlen López, although he lost four times in the Playa Girón tournaments.

Currently, boxing from the island is experiencing interesting times, with well-known figures such as Erislandy Lara, Yordenis Ugás, Robeisy Ramírez, the aforementioned Morrel, and Rancés Barthelemy.
