Reider, a 10-year-old boy who had been missing since yesterday afternoon in Havana, was found this Thursday, according to an update from his mother on social media.

"He has been found. Thank God and all those people who kept me informed," updated the child's mother in the initial Facebook post that alerted about the disappearance.

The mother of the child -identified on social media as "Yubaisi Compota"- did not provide any other details about the circumstances or the location where her son was found.

Previously, the woman had reported that Reider had escaped from the Special School located in El Trébol, in the municipality of Habana del Este.

The youngest -who was with another boy- had lost track of him around five in the afternoon.

Social media posts indicate that this summer Yubaisi was looking for two very strong medications that her child seems to take daily: Carbamazepine, an antiepileptic drug, and Risperidone, which is used in the treatment of behavioral disorders.

As of the closing of this note, there are no other details about what happened.

In recent times, reports of missing persons in Cuba have become frequent, causing concern among families who desperately turn to social media for help in locating their loved ones due to the lack of an official channel to make these cases visible.

Due to the absence of a police protocol and an early alert for the disappearance of minors, feminist platforms established the "Alerta Mayde" to help find minors whose whereabouts are unknown in Cuba.

That alert was created following the disappearance in May 2021 of the teenager Maydeleisis Rosales Rodríguez in Havana; a minor who, unfortunately, three years later, is still missing.
