"How am I going to give you the parole if I'm getting dressed": The new parody by Javier Berridy

The parody is made with music from Colombian singer Karol G.

The resumption of the humanitarian parole program has motivated comedian Javier Berridy to launch a parody about this very important issue for many Cubans on the island who wish to emigrate to the United States.

With the music of "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" by Colombian singer Karol G and portraying a Cuban in the United States having a conversation with a cousin in Cuba, the comedian makes people laugh on Instagram about this program that helps with legal immigration to American soil.

“Hey my cousin, didn’t you hear what they said, what happened, did Chocolate get arrested again? That they renewed the blessed parole again,” he says at the beginning to continue listing the crisis being experienced on the island with blackouts, food shortages, and increasing violence.

However, the cousin who tries to convince them to take him to the United States ends up receiving the response: "How am I going to give you parole, if I'm getting by?" and thus the parody ends, which, in addition to being amusing, is contagious for dancing.

On August 30, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) resumed the humanitarian parole program for migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, but with significant changes in the procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the processes.

The DHS established additional safeguards and a more rigorous review of application requests from support persons, also known as sponsors, who play a crucial role in this program.
