A young Cuban mother of a four-year-old boy has been missing for several days in the Isle of Youth. Her name is Yanet Soto Castellano, and she has mental health issues.
His uncle, Hipólito Scull, approached journalist Alberto Arego to facilitate the case on Facebook.
"They say they saw her last week and we don't know anything else," he said. "Due to her mental disorders, she walks around in old clothes, unrecognizable, with a white cloth on her head," he added.
The family filed a complaint with the police last week, but so far they have not received a response.
They said, "Don't worry, family, we are going to circulate her image all over the island and we will put up photos of her in public places." My sister, her mom, went all over Gerona, the central area of the island, and they have not published any photos of my niece from the Police. It’s as if they don’t care about the life of a missing young woman," questioned the girl's relative.
Yanet's four-year-old son lives with his dad and also receives care from his grandmother and uncles. "Every day he cries for his mom," his uncle pointed out.
