Police find an AK-47 rifle, two backpacks, and a GoPro camera at Trump golf course.

A new update on the case was provided by police and federal agents.

Following the reaction to the shooting that occurred this Sunday at the golf course of former U.S. president and current Republican candidate Donald Trump in Florida, local police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a statement updating on the event.

According to these two agencies, the investigation is focused on what appeared to be an assassination attempt against the former president in Palm Beach County, reports Local 10 News.

The former president was playing golf at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach when a man armed with a rifle fired, and Secret Service agents returned fire.

At a press conference, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw commented that the suspect was hidden "in an area among the bushes."

In the area, an AK-47 rifle, two backpacks, and a GoPro were found.

The man was arrested on Interstate 95 while driving a black Nissan SUV after the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office issued an alert about the vehicle, pointed out Martin County Sheriff, William D. Snyder.

Trump emerged unscathed from this other possible attack, which occurred just over two months after the one he experienced at an electoral rally in Pennsylvania last July, where he was injured in the ear.

Regarding this new action, the Vice President of the United States and Trump's Democratic rival for the upcoming November elections, Kamala Harris wrote through social media that she was glad he was okay.
