A Cuban family residing in a rural area of the province of Matanzas was victim of a raging fire in their home, according to what has been reported on social media. It is unclear if there were any injuries as a result of the incident, although apparently there were not.
"This is tough, they lost their house. This was in Matanzas, Cuba. God willing, someone who watches this video helps them," wrote the administrator of the Facebook profile "Pesca en Miami," who often runs campaigns from the U.S. to assist residents on the island.
The source -which tagged Limay Blanco and the Iron Man of Cuba in the post- did not provide details about the circumstances of the incident or the exact location where it occurred.
A brief video showed the moment when the humble home was being consumed by flames.
It also shared photos that showed the place once the fire was extinguished.
In the comments section of the post -which was also shared by digital creator Juan Echezábal on La Tijera- several internet users confirmed that it happened and lamented the critical situation of the family.
About the place, a commentator who claimed to be a neighbor indicated that it was in "Fruta Selecta," in the Iglesias neighborhood, in the city of Matanzas.
To those who showed interest in donating clothes to the baby or offering other types of help, the administrator of Pesca in Miami asked in the comments section to write to 786 685 9365.
As of the closing of this note, there are no other details about the unfortunate case.
