According to statistics from the Cuban Baseball Federation, Valdés participated in 10 National Series of baseball, including regular and postseason stages. In the 2018-2019 season, he was a reinforcement for the Sancti Spíritus team.

Additionally, he wore the Portuarios uniform in the I Elite League of Cuban Baseball, and in the second edition, he continued with the Industriales jersey.

In the last National Series, he was very important in the batting of Industriales, scoring 46 runs, hitting 79 hits, eleven home runs, twelve doubles, and one triple.

"I'm not a home run hitter, but when I hit the ball, it goes to all the fields," he said to the state-run media Radio Rebelde.

In December 2016, Valdés returned to Cuba after spending more than a year in the Dominican Republic and taking advantage of the injuries of Frank Camilo Morejón and Lázaro Ponce, who were the starters at that time, he found a place in the capital team.

"I have had a bit of trouble finding my rhythm due to the lack of playing I had. I spent a long time training, but without playing, and little by little I have been improving," Valdés told CiberCuba during those days.

On the island of Quisqueya, he only managed to play in the Dominican Summer League with Bonao.

He integrated the Cuba team into tournaments such as the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, where the national team finished in sixth place.

He will seek to join an Independent League or circuits such as Mexico, Romero added about the player's future.
