Cubans distribute free food to those affected by Hurricane Milton in Tampa.

Several Cuban entrepreneurs have decided to help residents of Florida affected by Hurricane Milton by providing free food delivery.

After Hurricane Milton passed through Florida, leaving millions without electricity and thousands of people affected, a group of Cubans in Tampa, one of the hardest-hit areas, has launched solidarity initiatives, offering free prepared meals to those in greatest need.

Through Facebook, Yandry Roque Pando, the young owner of the bakery Ena’s Secret Bake, at 3412 Armenia Ave, Tampa, invited all those in need to share some food.

"We have soup. If you can't move the mixers, for the kids, whatever, come over here and we will give you food. We have pizza, we are making stew, chicken, everything, so come right now, my people. Everything is free, I don't want money, what I want is for you to come," the young man pointed out.

Another Cuban who also joined the solidarity actions was Chef Ramoncito, who announced via Facebook that he would set up about nine paella pans in front of the Bravo supermarket on Armenia Ave, "and the last three can feed 300 or 400 people."

In the shared video, it was reported that more than 15,000 people were fed thanks to the collaboration of many individuals and the support of the religious community.

“I want to thank all the religious people around the world, not only for their support but for the heart they have shown,” expressed one of the organizers, visibly moved.

During the event, the collective effort was highlighted to ensure that everything ran smoothly, with the help of the police and volunteers who took care of keeping everything clean and orderly.

"It has been incredible, everyone giving hugs, expressing gratitude... we have seen people arrive who traveled up to two hours to receive help," mentioned Chef Ramoncito, highlighting the immense gratitude of those benefited by this noble gesture.

Andy Vázquez asked for help for a Cuban family living in Cape Coral whose house was completely destroyed this Wednesday as a result of Hurricane Milton, after a transformer fell on the house.

Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident - which occurred at 107 Chiquita Boulevard - because most of the family members had gone to Miami.
