Another Cuban is arrested in Miami for the theft of a frozen chicken truck.

With this arrest, there are now two Cubans involved in the theft of the truck with frozen chicken.

Jorge Lyen Blanco-Díaz, 38 years old, was arrested on Monday as part of the theft of a frozen chicken truck in Miami-Dade, with a total value of 100,000 dollars, reported América TeVé.

The arrest of Blanco-Díaz occurs days after authorities arrested Raúl Bello, 49, and charged him with large-scale cargo theft, vehicle theft, and illegal use of a communication device. The same charges were brought against Blanco-Díaz.

According to the police report, the stolen semi-trailer was valued at 80,000 dollars, while the cargo truck it was attached to was valued at 60,000 dollars.

The theft occurred in the early morning of September 15, when the victim, who had parked the vehicle near her home on Old State Road 9 and Northwest 155 Lane, was alerted by her sister that the truck was no longer there.

Upon returning to the location, the victim discovered that both the truck and the trailer had been stolen.

Authorities tracked the stolen vehicle and detected it that same day on Interstate 95, heading north, followed by a white Nissan.

Bello was later observed driving the Nissan on September 17, leaving an apartment complex in West Flagler.

The investigation revealed communications between him and Blanco-Díaz, which first led to Bello's arrest and now that of his accomplice.

Reports consulted by América TeVé reveal that Blanco-Díaz belongs to a major theft organization known as "MTO," which is a criminal network specializing in the theft and resale of stolen goods.

He is also suspected of another cargo theft, still under investigation, that occurred on September 12, 2023, where a tractor truck and a semi-trailer loaded with meat products valued at $400,000 were stolen.

The arrest occurred thanks to Blanco-Díaz being monitored with a GPS device, which helped link him to the theft of the semi-trailer and the truck.

He is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Meanwhile, Bello remains in custody without the right to bail at the Metrowest Detention Center.
