The young Cuban pitcher Jan Ewing Cabrera, 19 years old, has caught the attention of several Major League Baseball (MLB) organizations, and the latest big news is that he has been declared a free agent by the Commissioner's Office.

After receiving this status, Cabrera, originally from Villa Clara, now has the opportunity to make a significant leap in his professional career and could join an MLB franchise starting November 22.

According to journalist Francys Romero on the social network Facebook, the talented pitcher has demonstrated outstanding skills on the mound, catching the attention of scouts and executives from various teams, who see in him considerable potential to shine on the diamonds.

Represented by Andy Mota from Wasserman agency, Cabrera's free agency comes at a time when teams are seeking flamethrowers of his caliber, boasting a powerful combination of speed and control in his pitches.

Without a doubt, Cabrera, the closer for the Cuba team that participated in the 2022 Pan American U-18 Championship, promises to be a valuable addition to any franchise that secures his signature.

There are high expectations for this young prospect, who could join the ranks of pitchers from the island in Major League Baseball and make his debut in professional American baseball in the near future.

As part of the unstoppable exodus of Cuban athletes, the baseball player legally left the island a few months ago with the goal of landing a professional contract.
