A young Cuban identified as Alain Nolasco was brutally murdered in El Fanguito, a neighborhood in Havana's El Vedado.
According to the independent reporter "NioReportandoUnCrimen," the incident occurred last Monday at 3 a.m. on 15th Street between 26th and 28th, right in the street.
In an alleged street fight, between 13 and 15 people were involved, but the victim was stabbed by at least four neighbors, as well as beaten with pipes, hit with hammers, and even struck with a bottle, the report indicates.
Although the black beret unit is located next to this neighborhood, no one came to break up the fight.
A neighbor intervened in the conflict, shouting and holding onto Nolasco's body. She then dragged him to her home and sat him in the living room until the young man stopped breathing, the reporter emphasized.
It ensures that the drug known as "the chemical" is affecting the population of this neighborhood, and that it apparently played a role in this incident and in the prevailing climate of insecurity in the capital of the country.
For her part, Nolasco's mother was hospitalized after suffering two heart attacks following her son's murder.
Nolasco's body is at the Forensic Medicine office, and so far, it has not been confirmed what triggered such violence.
On social media, several Cubans have mourned the death of the young man and remembered him as a good friend.
