The Miss Universe Cuba organization issued an official statement this Tuesday in which it denies a supposed comment by Marianela Ancheta regarding the historic exile in Miami.
The comment surfaced during the program on Monday, January 6, hosted by Alexander Otaola, and it comes from a social media account under the name @misscuba, which is not associated with the beauty pageant organization or the young woman.
“On one leg they ran away, the true culprits of Cuba's situation; we were born in a Cuba that is beyond repair because they failed to defend it”, states the comment supporting a publication that attacks historic exile.

The document also adds what the official accounts are of the current Miss Universe Cuba 2024 Marianela Ancheta: “Any other page, profile, or publication that uses her image without authorization lacks legitimacy and has not been approved by her or our organization.”
“We urge everyone to act responsibly and ethically, always verifying sources before disseminating or sharing information. Any violation in this regard will be subject to the appropriate legal actions,” states the statement.
Alexander Otaola, following this comment, launched an attack against Marianela Ancheta on his show, questioning her lack of political stance during the Miss Universe pageant and for this disrespectful comment, allegedly attributed to her.
