The organization Miss Universe Cuba issued an official statement on Tuesday refuting a supposed comment by Marianela Ancheta regarding the historical exile in Miami.

The comment emerged during the program on Monday, January 6, hosted by Alexander Otaola, and comes from a social media account under the name @misscuba, which has no connection to the beauty pageant organization or the young woman.

"On one leg they ran away, the true culprits of why Cuba is in its current state. We were born in a Cuba that is more than finished because they did not know how to defend it," states the comment supporting a post that attacks the historical exile.

We clarify that only the content published on our official social media @missuniversecuba has our approval and support.”
