At dawn this Saturday, the value of currencies in the informal Cuban market remains stable for the third consecutive day, according to reports the independent media elToque based on monitoring advertisements on social media.
The dollar holds steady at 340 CUP, a price it reached on January 11. The U.S. currency has remained unchanged for two weeks now.
The euro is also stable today, after suddenly dropping five units on Wednesday of this week, the European currency remains at 340 CUP today, the same as the dollar.
In the case of the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), it remains valued at 240 CUP. It has now been at this value for 12 days.

Overall, the three reference currencies have shown a trend toward stability during this second half of January.
However, the recent arrival of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States and the measures he may take regarding Cuba could soon impose changes on the evolution and trend of the informal currency market on the island.
Regarding this, this week a false statement went viral on social media attributed to the Trump administration announcing an alleged package of measures that included the suspension of remittances and direct commercial flights to Cuba.
It also included travel restrictions for Cubans residing in the U.S., as well as the deportation of Cuban citizens with deportation orders or links to the repressive and ideological apparatus of the Cuban regime. Although, in principle, such a statement is false, the reality is that the tension regarding what may happen in the coming days persists.
