Trump signs order to "keep men out of women's sports"

"The madness of gender ideology is over," said White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, will sign an executive order this Wednesday that prohibits transgender athletes from participating in women's sports, one of his key promises during his electoral campaign.

"President Trump promised to restore common sense in our country, and he continues to deliver on that with an executive order he will sign later today... keeping men out of women's sports... The madness of gender ideology is over," stated White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt.

According to a document from the White House consulted by , the order will mandate broad policies regarding gender and sports and will instruct federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, to interpret Title IX (which prohibits sex discrimination in federally funded educational programs) as a ban on the participation of girls and transgender women in female sports competitions.

"The executive order that the President will sign later this afternoon reaffirms the commitment to Title IX," assured the spokesperson, who emphasized the importance of Congress acting quickly on the matter.

Under the title "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports," the new rule will be implemented immediately and will target schools and sports associations that deny "women, single-sex sports, and single-sex locker rooms."

Athletes, coaches, and advocates who have spoken out against the participation of transgender individuals in women's sports are expected to attend the signing ceremony.

According to May Mailman, an assistant to Trump, the executive order will further repeal Joe Biden's policies that required schools and sports organizations to treat gender identity and sex as equivalent.

In January, Trump signed several executive orders that eliminate the diversity and inclusion policies related to "gender ideology" enacted by the previous administration.

A decree ordered federal agencies to treat "biological sex" as a clear distinction between men and women, excluding any others.

From now on, federal forms, such as those for passports and visas, will only allow options for "male" or "female." Likewise, federal prisons and immigrant shelters must ensure "single-sex spaces."

"What we are doing today is defining what U.S. policy is to recognize two sexes, male and female. These are sexes that cannot be changed and are based on a fundamental and incontrovertible reality," stated a White House official.
