This week a cousin of Yoandriane reported that the police had located the 14-year-old girl in Havana and that her mother had gone to the capital to find her.

"The police called my mom, and they just left for Havana to see what happened and where they found her," said Ibelise Rosales.

The woman emphasized that this is the first time something like this has happened to the girl and that the family was desperate.

"Nothing is known, neither about his condition nor why he did it," he noted then.

Yoandriane and Melanie (13 years old) had been missing since Saturday, January 13.

The first one left her house with a backpack of clothes and did not return. Since then, no one has heard from her. She did not contact her family, nor did she answer the phone again.

At the time of her disappearance, she was accompanied by Melanie, who was last seen at José Martí School in Cárdenas, wearing an orange outfit.

Families sought help online to locate them and reported the incidents to the police.
