Madonna has once again issued a harsh criticism against Donald Trump, accusing him of wanting to rule like a monarch.

In a recent tweet, the iconic singer expressed her dissatisfaction with the President of the United States, who was recently presented as a king on her social media platform Truth, in a post that sparked widespread controversy following its reposting by the White House.

"I thought this country was built by Europeans fleeing from living under the rule of a king, establishing a new world governed by the people. Currently, we have a president who calls himself our king. If this is a joke, I'm not laughing," wrote Madonna on her official X account (formerly Twitter).

The criticisms from the Queen of Pop towards Trump are not new. In 2017, following the billionaire's arrival at the White House, Madonna emerged as one of his foremost opponents, even stating that she had considered “blowing up the White House” in protest.

Those words generated a strong reaction, even from Trump, who labeled her as "disgusting".

Over the years, the singer has expressed her disdain for the Republican. In 2018, she hinted that one of the reasons she moved her family to Portugal was to escape the political climate in the United States under Trump.

The president, known for responding harshly to his critics, has had confrontations with numerous entertainment figures. In recent years, celebrities like Taylor Swift and Barbra Streisand have also openly expressed their rejection of Trump.

Madonna, for her part, continues to be one of the most influential artists and an active voice in American politics, unafraid to speak out against those she sees as a threat to democracy.
