The wife of a Cuban man suffering from a brain tumor desperately turned to social media to seek financial assistance to cover the young man's medical treatment in Guyana, where they reside.

He reported that a few months ago, Hernández began to have seizures and went to the public hospital on December 30, where he underwent tests, X-rays, MRIs, and other studies that revealed the presence of a brain tumor.
At that medical center, they performed a craniotomy in January, but the surgeons could only remove 50% of the tumor, he noted.
According to Pérez's testimony, the oncologist treating him informed them a few days ago that Hernández needs radiation therapy, which is only available at private hospitals at a cost of $6,000, an amount they do not have.
"We are desperate, we wanted to seek help by going to Cuba, but the truth is, we all know the situation in Cuba, and also the risks of getting on a plane due to its condition," argued the young woman. "Please, help me share (...) if you know of any institution; here we are alone and the only one working is me."
