A 32-year-old Cuban motorist identified as Carlos Luis Carmona was allegedly murdered by a man who hired him for a trip.
The victim, a father of a young child, was known to his close friends as "Carlitín" and lived in Cruz de Piedra, in the Havana municipality La Lisa.
Carmona made a living transporting passengers on his motorcycle.

[...] Wherever you are, remember that I love you with all my heart [...] Fly high and always protect that baby you left in our care. We will love you forever, my Carlitín," wrote Maribel García, who apparently was his stepmother but claimed to love him "like a son."
