The Cuban actor and YouTuber Jonathan Montelongo—known by his nickname "Joh Wayne"—has made a serious public accusation against a worker in the cultural institutional system in Pinar del Río, whom he accuses of sexually harassing his underage younger brother, a young amateur singer.

Through his social media, Montelongo directly pointed out Francisco Pérez (known as "Francine"), whom he identified as a Culture official in that province.

According to the artist's testimony, that official allegedly engaged in abusive conduct towards his brother, including sexual innuendos, in exchange for allowing him to participate in cultural spaces.

"It has been suggested to make his life a yogurt."

In his statements, Montelongo stated that the threats began after an explicit rejection by his brother.

"This undesirable man you see here has set out to make my brother's life a living hell, those are his exact words," he stated.

According to the complaint, the official allegedly conditioned the opportunities for the young artist on sexual favors, telling him directly: "If you want to sing, I can make things easier for you."

Alleged institutional persecution

Montelongo also reported that Francisco Pérez has started a campaign to hinder his brother's emerging career by penalizing those who offer him opportunities to perform.

"A campaign has started against my brother to prevent him from singing in private spaces by fining those who invite him,” he noted.

The actor emphasized that his brother is a minor and that this situation constitutes a serious case of abuse of power and pedophilic behavior by the official.

"I REPEAT, my brother is a MINOR and this man is a PED*PH*ILE who abuses his power to take advantage of the artists from Pinar del Río," he reported.

"I hold the Ministry of Culture responsible."

Montelongo directly held both Francisco Pérez and the Ministry of Culture in Pinar del Río responsible for the emotional impact that his brother may suffer as a result of the current situation.

"I hold this garbage and the Ministry of Culture of Pinar del Río responsible for any psychological harm that the harassment and insinuations my brother is experiencing may cause him," he stated.

Ultimately, he justified the publication of his complaint as a way to protect his brother from exile.

"I am making this case public here so that there is a PUBLIC record, as it is the least I can do while being outside of Cuba. On the other hand, my family will take actions to address it from there," concluded Montelongo, who arrived in the United States in 2024.
