The University of Oriente (UO) in Santiago de Cuba expressed its condolences on Tuesday for the passing of Luis Felipe Suárez Page, who served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, associated with the teaching of Mathematical Analysis in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FIE).

He held the academic title of Master of Science and, throughout his career, took on responsibilities in both teaching and administration, including leading the aforementioned department.

According to the statement released by the institution, Suárez leaves “a significant mark on the affections.”
