The Cuban athlete Jhoen Lefont set a new world record for balance on Saturday by keeping a ball balanced on his head for 31 minutes and two seconds while floating in a pool.

The feat took place in the pool at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba in Havana, reported Jit.

In this way, the Antillean surpassed the record set by Nigerian Tonye Solomon, who had clocked 28:34 in the event in September 2024.

The 37-year-old from Matanzas is looking to establish his 12th Guinness World Record, which is why experts from Guinness World Records were present on Saturday to validate the achievement, the information specifies.

One of his most impressive achievements occurred in June 2024, when he achieved 2,031 consecutive touches on the ball at the same venue, the Hotel Nacional. A year earlier, in September 2023, he recorded 23 minutes and 2 seconds holding the ball above his head at the Baraguá Pool Complex.
