At least two people died and several others were seriously injured as a result of a traffic accident that occurred on the Cotorro Bridge in Havana.
The incident occurred when a rental car speeding excessively ran over several motorcycles that were passing by. The driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Another driver who was with me and I rushed to help those people; we got them in and took them to the hospital (...) Rest in peace to those kids who arrived already dead," he recounted.
The internet user Arlena Santander revealed that among the injured are her niece and her husband.
"Psychologically, they are devastated; she has a rather nasty wound on her right leg. But the others weren’t as fortunate. As you mentioned, the group of motorcyclists were riding quite calmly, even chatting among themselves, when suddenly the car hit them from behind at high speed and swept them all away," he detailed.
"I was there, man, and that bastard was drunk as a skunk, apologizing and saying he didn't see the people. Damn, he ended a few lives and caused pain for many people who suffered and are still suffering from it," recounted Alejandro Zrate.
A young woman named Rebeca Contreras revealed that she was one of the injured, fortunately suffering only minor injuries. "We weren’t going more than 20 km, and if you pass by, you will surely see the plastics all along the right path, which means these motorcyclists weren't making things up and they also had licenses."
