The President of the United States, Donald Trump, described the recent attacks by Israel against targets in Iran as “very successful” on Friday, and stated that these actions will be “great for the market” by reducing the risk of Tehran acquiring nuclear weapons.

“I believe that ultimately, it will be great for the market because Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. It will be great for the market; it should be the best thing that has happened to the market. Iran will not have a nuclear weapon, which was a significant threat to humanity,” he stated in a brief phone conversation with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

The WSJ also reported that Trump had conversations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday —including moments before the attacks— and that he expects to speak with him again this Friday.
