The administration of President Donald J. Trump has publicly boasted about what it considers one of its greatest achievements to date: the tightening of immigration policy and the dramatic decline in illegal crossings at the southern border of the United States.

In a categorical message broadcast on social media and reinforced by an official statement, the White House has presented an image of seemingly complete control, while urging Congress to approve new legislation that would consolidate this approach.

“Peace. Tranquility. Security. This is how the border is with Trump after just five months, and it must remain this way”, proclaimed the White House on its official X account.

A warning with an ultimatum tone

The message, far from being just a management assessment, came with a direct warning: "You need to keep it up."

The text, which was shared with a propaganda emphasis, makes an urgent call to approve the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill, a legislative proposal that, according to the government, represents “the largest single investment in border security in history” and stands as the cornerstone of the Trump administration's immigration approach.
