According to the newspaper Invasor on its Facebook profile, the injured began to arrive at the Antonio Luaces Iraola Provincial Hospital in Ciego de Ávila following the accident that occurred near the municipality of Majagua.

The journalist Odania García revealed on Facebook other details about the incident. According to her report, the event occurred at 10:45 AM this Sunday, July 6, on the road from Marroquín to Majagua, specifically in the section known as Río Grande.

The vehicle involved —with registration B-236623— belonged to the Hydraulic Resources Company and was transporting several people when its driver lost control and ended up overturned.

García specified that three people lost their lives in the accident, including two minors, while the rest of the passengers were treated at the polyclinic in Majagua and later transferred to the provincial hospital Antonio Luaces Iraola.
